You know when you think you have everything planned just right, so right in fact that nothing could ruin those plans????
Well let me tell you, never say never.
I've always wanted to run a race. I had very little running experience but whenever I did run, I felt amazing.
I decided to sign up for a 5K. I figured something small would be a great motivator to get me started. I fell in love with training. I was getting pretty good at it too! I was running 5Ks 4 times a week and I thought nothing could stop me.
One morning, leaving a restaurant, I slipped on some ice and seriously sprained my ankle. I cried for weeks because I knew I wouldn't be running the race I had been preparing for. It took almost 5 months for my ankle to heal and I have now decided to run a 10K in the fall.
I was feeling a little unmotivated because of the aches and pains of training. Because of the sprain, my body decided to bless me with sciatic nerve and knee issues and I was questioning my commitment to my goal.
I was going through my favourite blog via my favourite company, Lululemon and it led me to Beth's blog, California Training. Just reading about all this girl does totally inspired me!
Thank you Beth for giving me the motivation I needed to keep up with my training.
