Oh my

I can't believe I haven't posted since November 30th.

So many things have happened since the last post I can't even put it into words so I'll start fresh...

I started this blog it the hopes that by posting things in a public forum, I would be encouraged to commit to my goals instead of writing them down on paper and leaving them to die in my office. I accomplished a major goal in 2009 by running my very first race. Since then, I have set many goals but have used a new schedule and city to make excuses to avoid the necessary steps to achieve those goals.

Well excuses no more! I'm putting it out there that I've signed up for a September half marathon and my personal goal time is of 2 hours and 10 mins.

Here are the things I will be focusing on for the next 23 weeks:

Running
Obvious I know but I'm starting from scratch so this is going to hurt. My goal is to train smart and I've found an online guide to help

Weight loss
According to many sources, optimal body weight can improve your performance

Yoga
My goal is to attend 1 Bikram class a week

Cross train
For obvious reasons

I'm happy I have a strong plan in place and am feeling really motivated to start on Sunday.
